Morena Baccarin

On V, she plays Anna, the beautiful leader of the Visitors. So forgive us if we occasionally forget that this Brazilian-born actress isn’t a suspicious, scaly alien, but rather a talented performer who was trained at the prestigious Juilliard School—here on Earth.

Morena Baccarin is well known for being cast by writer/director Joss Whedon in his critically acclaimed series Firefly, as well as its big-screen adaptation, “Serenity.” Other television work includes recurring roles on The O.C., Kitchen Confidential, How I Met Your Mother, Las Vegas, and starring in the cable series Heartland.

Past theatre credits include “Our House,” directed by Michael Mayer, written by Theresa Rebeck, at Playwright’s Horizons Theatre; “The Seagull” at the McCarter Theatre; and the independent features Perfume, Way Off Broadway and Roger Dodger. Next year Baccarin can be seen in the feature Stolen, opposite Josh Lucas and John Hamm.
